KFN Zakat Calculator

Calculating your Zakat obligation with Khidmat Foundation Nepal (KFN) is easy and straightforward. Our calculation process is divided into two parts: Wealth and Deductions. Here is a detailed breakdown of each:

Wealth

  • Cash at Home: The value of any cash you have in your possession should be included in your calculation.
  • Bank Account Balance: The value of any cash you have in your bank account should be included in your calculation.
  • Stocks and Equities: The value of any stocks or equities you own should be included in your calculation.
  • Profits and Inventory: The value of any profits or inventory you have should be included in your calculation.
  • Gold and Silver: The value of any gold or silver you own, whether in the form of jewelry or investment, should be included in your calculation.
  • Investment Property: The value of any investment property you own should be included in your calculation.
  • Other Incomes: The value of any other incomes you have should be included in your calculation.

Deductions

  • Debts: The value of any debts you owe should be included in your calculation as a deductible liability.
  • Expenses: The value of any expenses you have should be included in your calculation as a deductible liability.

To determine the amount of Zakat you need to pay, you must first calculate the value of your net assets by subtracting your Deductions from your Wealth. If the value of your net assets reach or exceed the Nisab threshold, you will then be required to pay Zakat.

Note: The Nisab value is calculated by taking the current silver rate and multiplying it by 612.36 grams of silver. The conversion from grams to tolas can vary, but 612.36 grams is a commonly used figure for Nisab calculation purposes.
